Project Description
Fek Tayri provided technical support to the Regional Observatory on Access to Justice for Migrants, aimed at building the capacities of its members in key thematic areas. This initiative enhanced their expertise in data collection and analysis by equipping them with tailored tools and methodologies to gather and interpret relevant, accurate information about at-risk migrant populations in Morocco’s Eastern region, particularly regarding their access to justice. Special attention was given to the ethical considerations of data management. Additionally, a focus was placed on training members in Gender, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and Human Trafficking. Participants were educated on the specific challenges of these issues to better understand their impacts on migrant populations and strengthen their ability to intervene in a more targeted and inclusive manner. This approach enabled the Observatory to improve its data collection methods while integrating a gender-sensitive lens, addressing trafficking and GBV concerns. It strengthened the quality and relevance of its analyses on migrants’ access to justice. The ultimate goal of this support was to foster greater consideration of the needs of the most vulnerable migrants in terms of access to protection and to assist the Observatory in promoting a more inclusive and equitable justice system
