Project Description

Fek Tayri’s team first conducted a KAP (Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices) analysis of DDM professionals regarding positive masculinities through semi-structured interviews. This phase identified existing perceptions and stances on gender roles and power dynamics between women and men. Building on these findings, a combined workshop was organized, bringing together field workers and managers. Its goal was to explore diverse attitudes toward gender norms and equip participants with up-to-date resources on the current landscape and challenges tied to positive masculinities. The workshop also encouraged reflection on the importance of adopting more egalitarian approaches and becoming allies in combating inequalities. Finally, interactive activities were facilitated to challenge participants’ biases and stereotypes while providing practical tools to address gender-based discrimination and promote more inclusive masculinities. These sessions fostered critical dialogue and actionable strategies to reshape workplace cultures and advance gender equity within institutional frameworks.
