Project Description
Leveraging its deep expertise in social action approaches, combination prevention strategies, ethical frameworks, and partnerships—alongside its strong field knowledge—Fek Tayri was commissioned by Morocco’s Ministry of Health and Social Protection through its Directorate of Epidemiology and Disease Control. The consultancy conducted an exploratory study on the vulnerabilities and needs of transgender individuals in Morocco. This participatory research generated critical insights to better understand the realities and challenges faced by transgender populations, aiming to guide the development of tailored approaches for their inclusion in the national HIV response. The findings are intended to inform policies and programs that address systemic barriers, enhance access to healthcare, and integrate gender-sensitive strategies into public health initiatives to ensure equitable and effective outcomes.
