Project Description
During this project, Fek Tayri designed and delivered a training guide to integrate gender-sensitive approaches into all political and technical dimensions of ALCS’s partner associations. The initiative established a shared understanding of gender analysis by challenging cisheteronormative binary frameworks and the resulting dynamics of power, ensuring interventions are genuinely transformative and impactful. To achieve this, the team began with a diagnostic process to assess existing gender-related knowledge and competencies within the organizations. Next, they developed a guide outlining the historical evolution of gender approaches and a comprehensive overview of national best practices. Emphasis was also placed on identifying systemic challenges that hinder the implementation of quality gender-responsive interventions. Fek Tayri’s team further created an educational toolkit featuring dynamic exercises and activities to simplify and integrate gender perspectives, ensuring knowledge transfer is both accessible and actionable. To conclude, the team facilitated Training of Trainers workshops focused on gender-sensitive approaches within the context of HIV response efforts.
