Project Description

Fek Tayri, in partnership with LGBT Denmark, developed and tested locally adapted methodologies to strengthen the capacity of change-makers in the SWANA region. Rooted in a community organizing approach, the project promoted participatory, locally driven strategies to foster sustainable social transformation. This initiative explored and documented effective practices for advancing gender equality and addressing systemic discrimination, with a focus on integrating intersectionality. This enabled local organizations to better understand intersecting systems of oppression and tailor their strategies to the realities of LGBTQI+ and feminist communities. By prioritizing contextualized solutions and collaborative learning, the project empowered grassroots actors to challenge structural inequalities and amplify marginalized voices, contributing to more inclusive and resilient advocacy ecosystems across the region.
