Project Description
Fek Tayri delivered four awareness-raising and training workshops on strategies for action and advocacy to combat gender-based violence (GBV) at the request of the Racines association. This initiative unfolded in two phases: first, an in-depth analysis of GBV to contextualize its drivers and impacts, followed by capacity-building sessions on intervention tools. These included guidance on legal frameworks, judicial and non-judicial procedures, and advocacy mechanisms to address systemic barriers faced by survivors. Held in Tiznit, Rabat, Casablanca, and Al Hoceima, the workshops engaged approximately 70 participants. Discussions generated actionable recommendations to enhance the efficacy of GBV prevention and response efforts, with a focus on survivor-centered approaches. The collaborative exchanges also fostered peer learning and strengthened networks among advocates, ensuring locally grounded and context-specific strategies to advance gender justice across diverse communities.
